Safety & Warranty

Every Deskon lamp is carefully selected, quality-checked, and covered by a 12-month limited warranty. We want you to get the most out of your lamp safely. Please use it as intended. Damage resulting from misuse, improper installation or unauthorised modification is not covered under warranty.

A few simple guidelines to help you stay safe and get the best from your lamp:

General safety

• Indoor use only. Our lamps are designed for indoor use unless stated otherwise.
• Never leave a lamp switched on and unattended.
• Keep away from flammable materials such as curtains, paper or bedding.
• Ensure your lamp has adequate ventilation. Do not cover it with fabric or obstruct airflow.
• Keep away from water sources such as sinks, showers or bathtubs unless the product is specifically rated for wet environments.
• Place on a flat, stable surface to prevent tipping or falling.
• Keep lamps and cables out of reach of children and pets.
• Keep away from heat sources such as radiators, hobs or prolonged direct sunlight.
• Our lamps are designed for ambiance and task lighting, not as primary or emergency light sources. Always maintain working smoke alarms and follow standard home safety practices.
• If you are unsure about installation or safety, consult a qualified electrician.

Bulb safety

• Use bulbs that match the specifications listed for your lamp and never exceed the maximum recommended wattage.
• Only LED bulbs should be used with Deskon lamps. Incandescent or halogen bulbs may generate excessive heat and present a safety risk.
• Light bulbs are consumable items and are not covered under the Deskon warranty. Any bulb included with your lamp is provided for initial testing purposes only and may vary by model.

For rechargeable portable lamps

• Each rechargeable lamp includes a built-in battery and a charging cable. Use the supplied cable with a USB power source rated at 5W or less. Avoid fast chargers, power banks, high-wattage adapters or multi-port charging hubs.
• Charge on a flat, non-flammable surface, away from soft furnishings. Do not leave charging unattended, particularly overnight.
• Only charge in a cool, dry, well-ventilated space. Avoid enclosed spaces, drawers, bedding or direct sunlight.
• Do not use the lamp while charging unless the product instructions explicitly state this is safe.
• Give your lamp a full charge before first use.
• Rechargeable portable lamps may be used outdoors briefly in dry, clear conditions. Do not leave them outside or near water.
• Keep away from heat, fire and water. Do not use the lamp if it appears damaged, swollen or leaking. If battery fluid contacts skin or eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical advice promptly.

No DIY repairs

Opening or modifying your lamp may void the warranty and create a safety hazard. Please do not attempt repairs yourself.

Warranty

Your Deskon lamp is covered by a 12-month limited warranty from the date of purchase. This covers manufacturing defects under normal use. It does not cover damage from misuse, accidental damage, incorrect installation, unauthorised modification or consumable items such as bulbs and cables.

By completing your purchase, you agree that Deskon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from improper use of our products.
